Pure fire. Pure form.
About Vauni

In a house, the fireplace is often an integral part of the architecture.
In an apartment, it rarely is.
When Sören Sjölander, Professor Emeritus of Innovation Engineering at Chalmers University of Technology, moved from a house to an apartment, that difference became the starting point for Vauni.
When what is missing cannot be bought, it has to be invented. The first Vauni prototype was developed in collaboration with designer Markus Grip as part of his degree project at HDK – the Academy of Design and Crafts. Here, refined aesthetics met technical innovation.
When designing with fire, safety is always fundamental – for people and for their surroundings. Vauni’s burner absorbs the fuel and allows only the vapours to burn. This results in a calm, controlled combustion and an unusually high level of safety, making Vauni fireplaces equally at home in private interiors and more demanding environments.
Vauni fireplaces are fuelled by bioethanol – a modern, renewable energy source. Combustion is clean and produces only small amounts of carbon dioxide and water vapour, comparable to the air we exhale.
A modern fireplace, without compromise.
